…Remote controls now have their own screens?

Philips Pronto

If you’re a control freak, the Philips TSU 9600 Pronto Professional is for you. Featuring a 640×480 3.7-inch touchscreen display, this IR controller can manage your entire house from one place. You program it using your computer, and can control audio/video devices and any home automation devices you are already using. Individual buttons can be programmed to display each station’s icon, and you can add a wav sound file to each button press. It uses “ultra-reliable” wireless extenders to reach your far away devices from any room in your house. Though pricing hasn’t been announced, expect it to be a pretty penny for this classy looking device.
