File this story under “Why didn’t I think of that?” The TROFE mug from IKEA features a notch in the base so that water does not pool there while in the dishwasher, only to later unleash a tidal wave when you go to take them out. At only $.50 each, it’s a cheap and easy solution to a problem that has probably annoyed many a kitchen goer.
