Would you like your next chair charred or extra crispy? Apparently, the new trend in furniture design is to “blacken” the piece with a little bit of fire. The manufacturer burns the chair, and “once the chair has been thoroughly smoked, giving its finish a scaly, crackly skin, it’s covered with a lacquer to protect the user”. You better get one quickly though, as these are going to be hot.
