So it’s official: On September 5th, Apple will announce something that will, for some unexplainable reason, cause you to pull out your wallet and head to the nearest electronics store with cash in hand.

Judging by the invite itself, I’d say there’s a pretty good chance that we’re going to see an upgraded iPod, and Coverflow should make an appearance as well. Beat = Beatles? It’s a stretch, but I’ll take it. New, iFat Nano? I’d say it’s 50/50 right now.

One more thing?

We can only hope.
