…Nir Tober writes with fire?

Nir Tober - Fire Poi Typography

Nir Tober’s Fire Letters is a fantastic use of flames to create a rather unique font.

Apparently each letter took between 30 and 50 takes to get right, and it took about 15 hours over 2 sessions to get everything just right, with the final result being the un-Photoshopped images that you see here.

…You don’t have the balls to cook with testicles?

Testicle Cookbook

The Testicle Cookbook will have you cooking with balls in no time.

Seriously.

Serbian chef Ljubomir Erovic is releasing the book, which is sure to cause quite a bit of controversy as it shares his favorite testicle treats, such as Testicle Pizza, Testicle Goulash and White Wine Testicles.

According to chef Erovic,

“The tastiest testicles in my opinion probably come from bulls, stallions or ostriches, although other people have their own favourites.”

In addition, testicles are rich in testosterone and are believed to be a powerful aphrodisiac in countries such as Serbia and China.

Again, to quote chef Erovic,

“The best for aphrodisiac properties are sheep and stallion testicles.”

Don’t for a second think that Erovic is a nut off the street though. Since 2004, he as been the organizer behind the World Testicle Cooing Championship, held annually in Serbia, which draws in chefs from Australia, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Norway and Serbia. During the competition, over one metric tonne of testicles are prepared.

Think you’ve got what it takes to grab the bull by the balls and test out these recipes?

Don’t say I didn’t warn you:

…It’s Movie Monday: Trouble in Boro Olympus?

Trouble in Boro Olympus is a short form TV pilot for The Triboro, an episodic one hour dramatic series about a group of youth in The Triboro (Olympus, Black Mountain & White Valley) that join forces and stand up to the ring of corruption that has taken control of their towns. It’s a suspenseful, noir, epic, and doesn’t neglect all the teenage stuff that keeps things honest:

Are online pilots set to become the future of television?

With quality like this, I sure don’t see why not.

…Bloomberg thinks you’re a Bozo?

Bloomberg Bozo

Given the current economic crisis, Bloomberg’s iPhone Easter egg seems rather appropriate.

In the bottom corner of the left monitor on their iPhone application’s loading screen, Bozo the Clown stares back at you from the blackness.

To see it, just snap a screenshot and play with the levels until he appears.

At least someone’s getting a laugh out of the situation.

…ThinkGeek makes the best flying saucer?

Micro R/C Flying Saucer

ThinkGeek’s Black Stealth 3-Channel R/C Helicopter is a fun way to start flying, but if you really want to be in control, then check out their Micro R/C 4-Channel Flying Saucer.

Described as “the smallest, most sophisticated R/C flying vehicle around”, it gives you control over altitude, direction and rotation, and features a solid-state accelerometer that senses tilt on two axes and adjusts the power of each propeller to keep the Flying Saucer rock solid in the sky.

In addition, a built in automatic trim means no trim dials or buttons to adjust, so you just power-cycle the remote before you begin to fly, and the Flying Saucer references the accelerometer to auto trim itself.

Nifty!

…It’s Things Thursday: Draganflyer X6?

Draganflyer X6

The Draganflyer X6 “is a remotely operated, unmanned, miniature helicopter designed to carry wireless video cameras and still cameras”.

It’s also one of the most bad-add R/C copters ever made.

Draganflyer X6 Specs

Features include a six rotor co-axial configuration that makes the Draganflyer X6 compact, stable, and powerful, a full carbon fiber folding frame that also makes it light and easy to carry, and 11 on-board sensors that make the X6 the easiest copter to fly in its class, including three gyros, three accelerometers, three magnetometers, one barometric pressure sensor, and one GPS receiver.

Loose radio connection?

No problem; the Draganflyer X6 simply lands itself and waits for you to return.

Loose an engine?

Again, no problem. The Draganflyer is able to continue flying, even with one engine entirely out of commission.

With camera options that range from anti-vibration mounts and digital still camera holds to HD video, low light, thermal infrared and micro video cameras, there’s even a payload option to match every need.

James Bond, eat your heart out.

…It’s Website Wednesday: Blah Girls?

Blah Girls

As if there was a need for another celebrity gossip blog, Ashton Kutcher’s Blah Girls is a high dollar attempt at picking up a few extra eyeballs from those that have grown tired of TMZ and their ubiquitous coverage of anything and everything celebrity related.

The site revolves around the three Blah Girls and their take on the celebrity world, and every Monday and Thursday a new animated video arrives with the latest “news”:

Will Blah Girls be the best thing to happen to the gossip world since the cell phone camera, or is this just another attempt at buying eyes with flashy design and a well-known name?

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
