Conclusion: If you have even a passing interest in graffiti, its history, its effect, and its current status, then Bomb It looks like a can’t miss film.

If you’re in Mad River Glen, VT, Deer Valley, UT, Alta, UT, or Taos, NM, you’re not allowed on the slopes unless you can separate your skis.
That’s because these four ski resorts are the last remaining holdouts in the battle against snowboarding, as they refuse to allow anyone but skiers to ride their lifts.

I love when a large company does or encourages something that they’re not supposed to, as it gives them a bit of personality that’s often lost in this overly corporate world (and I’m a snowboarder), so I hope that they get some great footage of teams tearing up these territorial terrains.

As Facebook battles to turn Beacon into a legitimate service, Mark Zuckerberg is in a battle of his own against the founders of ConnectU, who claim that Zuck’ stole the idea for Facebook from them, and that he owes them at least part of the $15 Billion the company is worth (on paper).
As part of the lawsuit, many of Zuckerberg’s personal papers have become public domain, including his Harvard Application, his online diary, Facebook’s statement of cash flows for 2005, and a letter that documents the damage Mark did to a sublet in 2004.
02138 has been kind enough to post these “Facebook Files”, along with a great piece on the whole story called “Poking Facebook” that delves into the history of the lawsuit, as well as the history of Mark himself.
It all plays out like a movie, and depending on the outcome of this whole thing, I wouldn’t be surprised if a film or two were made that recreates all this, so read up now for an advanced screening.

Playing this game might send you to hell, but at least you’ll go there blasphemously happy. Bible Fight, a new game on the [adult swim] website, pits you against foe in a battle of epic proportions. Choose between Jesus, Eve, Mary, Moses, Noah, Satan, and the mysteriously locked final character (my money is on God), and battle good and evil in beautiful, flashy detail.
Featuring funny combos, smooth game play, multiple arenas, and memorable characters, it’ll have you repenting your gaming sins in no time.
Today’s Movie Monday features the work of Three Legged Legs. What is Three Legged Legs, you ask? Well, it’s “a hillbilly with stinky hobbit feet, an angry brown guy freaking out all the time, and a guy who likes wearing collared shirts under regular cotton t-shirts”.
The first film is a shorty but a goodie. Humans!, a 60 second global awareness PSA “sensationalizing the excessive, all-consuming nature of the human being”, shows the Earth’s “utter demise in a fun and sickening kind of way”.
The next “animated fable”, Samurai, was a collaboration between TLL and GE for their Imagination Theater campaign. “It’s a tale of a pint-sized samurai faced with a seemingly impossible challenge as proposed by a behemoth Emperor and his wicked minions. Can you spot all the ninjas?”.
Their next short, Los Angeles Lets Be Friends, “depicts friendly monsters overrunning Los Angeles to spread joy and beauty throughout an otherwise drab and monochromatic society. Despite the creatures’ best efforts, the public isn’t swayed”.
Finally, Ricochet, a short “featured primarily as a visual effects showcase”, that “puts the viewer in the middle of an all out battle between two disparate armies set in an apocalyptic near-future environment”. Be warned though, this one gets violent.
Bonus: If that didn’t satisfy your movie appetite for the day, be sure to check out YouTube’s 2006 Video Awards Winners. You’ve probably seen most of them already, but maybe you missed one or two, so it’s always good to go back.
…Brian Lam doesn’t like Halo 3 fanboys?
Gizmodo’s Brian Lam is apparently a big fan of controversy, as he has stirred up quite a bit of it with his latest antics.
To promote the release of Halo 3, Microsoft sent select bloggers (Somehow, I didn’t make the list.) a swag bag that was filled with extremely cool Halo stuff; including an Xbox 360 Legendary Edition, a Master Chief helmet with the game inside, various accessories, and more.
After receiving the sweet bag full of swag, Brian posted an unboxing video on Gizmodo that was given a less than warm welcome by Halo fans because of the way he handled the stuff. Some felt that he ‘tossed around’ his free goodies in a way that showed disrespect for what he was given, and they were less than thrilled by the way Brian appeared to throw away things that he was given for free, even though they would have given an arm and a leg for any of it.
To show their feelings, comments from the fanboys soon flooded in, and a death threat or two was given out.
In response, Brian replied to many of the comments in a rather stand-offish way, and then removed the video.
Skip forward a day, and Brian again posted a video of the Halo 3 swag, but this time, he was did a rebag of it. He goes through all of the stuff, and carefully explains each thing as he puts it neatly into the bag.
Then he throws the bag out of the window of his apartment.
Then he announces the ending of the game.
Just like that. No spoiler warning, no sign of impending doom. Just an unleashing of one of the worst spoilers in the history of spoilers.
Some found it funny, while others felt like the victims of a shock and awe attack.
More comments followed, and the battle now rages on between the fanboys and the spoiler fans.
