…Project Lore loves World of Warcraft?

Project Lore

Project Lore is all things World of Warcraft.

By bringing together five dudes, four cameras, and the most famous online game ever to wreck lives and take over computers, Project Lore “is all about putting the best multimedia MMORPG game guides in one place”.

Project Lore is also going to include a daily video show and a blog, and it’s led by Alex Albrecht of Diggnation fame, so you know it’s going to have a dedicated group of die-hard fans.

If you’ve ever wanted to follow the progress of a group of level 70 players who love beer and pizza and loathe Fel Orcs, then Project Lore is the site for you.

…It’s Things Thursday: Amphibious Tank?

Amphibious Tank

What’s better than a remote controlled tank?

How about a remote controlled tank that can transform into an assault boat, fire BBs up to 30 meters, and deliver four beers in the process?

Sounds like a winner to me!

The Amphibious Tank from Danbar Toys might not be the safest way to entertain yourself on a lazy beach side afternoon, but who said anything about fun being safe?

(Except maybe these guys.)

…It’s Things Thursday: Hotwicks?

Hotwicks

If mountain breezes, lilac mornings, and heavenly honeysuckle aren’t exactly your preferred scents when it comes to candles, then perhaps you should check out Hotwicks, a company that wants to make “one of a kind candles that remind you of cool things”.

What types of cool things?

Try Beer, Campfires, Dryer Sheets, Hippies, Pancakes , Urinal Cakes, Strippers, Pigskin and more.

In addition to these scents, you can also combine scents for a whole theme of aroma.

Take beer for example:

BEER + STRIPPER + COFFEE = BACHELOR PARTY
BEER + GRASS + CAMPFIRE = CAMPING TRIP
    BEER + GRASS + PIGSKIN = GAMEDAY
BEER + CAMPFIRE + HIPPIE = DRUM CIRCLE

Does it get any better than that?

…It’s Website Wednesday: Foamee?

Foamee

Foamee “is a free service that helps track who you owe beers or coffee to (and vice versa) suing the popular messaging service, Twitter”.

Basically, you simply follow ioubeer and/or ioucoffee, and then send your I.O.U. to “a deserving recipient” using the format:

    @ioubeer @twitterscreenname “REASON”

For example:

@ioubeer @coryobrien for writing about Foamee.

Want to send a beer/coffee to someone without a Twitter account?

No problem; just put their name in square brackets and Foamee will figure out the rest.

Then, once your friend redeems that beer/coffee, you simply send a tweet to Foamee formatted as follows:

D ioubeer redeem “Drink ID Number”

and Foamee will mark that drink as received and redeemed.

Now drink up!

…Canouflage makes it easy to get drunk in public?

CanouflageCanouflage is probably one of the best (and funniest) ideas I’ve ever seen: Simply wrap your beer in a vinyl cover that looks like a popular soda brand, and then chug away at what appears to be a harmless 12 ouncer to the outside world.

Available “flavors” include Skunkpiss, Risk, Peski, and Mountain Spew, and they come in packs of four that are also reusable in case the thirty pack that you bought is going to need some extra hiding.

…Beer Pong tables can be art?

Beer Pong Tables

For those that spend a majority of their free time behind a pyramid of Dixie cups, the Beer Pong table is often a source of pride, showing off an artist’s skill as well as his drinking ability.

For those that want to take it to the next level, The Beer Blog has put together a list of The 33 Best Beer Pong Tables Ever Created.

Filled with creativity, ingenuity, and beer, these tables definitely set a standard that is going to be tough to beat.

Are you ready?

…Suzuki Sidekick jumping looks like fun?

Normally, mixing a Suzuki Sidekick, beer, and a really big jump results in a lot of pain and broken Sidekick parts.

This jump, however, didn’t go according to that plan.

It’s NSFW due to language, so mute the sound and click play, because you don’t want to miss this:

…The Hopsicle is a frozen beer on a stick?

Hopsicle

Take a beer, freeze it, add a stick, and what do you get?

According to one chef at Rustico’s in Washington, DC, you get the “Hopsicle”, a frozen treat for those that don’t like sweet.

No need to travel to try one though, as I’m sure they’re easy to make for the DIY crowd with an extra six pack and some popsicle sticks.

…Beer and pizza go together?

Pizza BeerTom Seefurth had a novel idea. He liked pizza, and he liked beer, so he figured, why not combine the two?

No, not beer flavored pizza. Tom wanted something a little more exotic. He wanted pizza flavored beer.

By adding actual pizza right into the brewing process, Tom’s beer is able to capture the flavors of the Italian favorite, while still staying true to its brew roots.

How about it, would you try a Pizzeer?

…It’s TGI Friday: Beer?

Imperial Russian Stout Pipeline Porter

Free Stuff Friday is back, and this time, I’m giving away a $10 iTunes gift card to one lucky winner (which is coincidentally just enough to buy the DYH iMix 04.07 if you so choose). To enter, just add a comment to this post with the name of your favorite beer. Not only will this earn you an entry into the contest, it will also add $.50 to the Comment Charity total as a way of saying thanks for your time.

Don’t drink beer? No problem; just comment with the name of your favorite beer alternative (soda, coffee, water, wine, etc.) and you’ll also be entered.

Though my all-time favorite would have to be Stone’s Imperial Russian Stout, I’m currently digging the wonderful Pipeline Porter that Kona recently released.

As usual, the contest will run through Sunday, so you have plenty of time to pick a favorite (or make one up if you don’t already have one) and type it into the comment box.

A few minutes of your time in exchange for a chance at a few free songs? Sounds like a good deal to me. Cheers.
