…Paper Pong is a slow game?

Apparently classic video games never die; they just get reincarnated in a variety of strange and unusual ways.

First, there was Pac-Txt, a text based Pac-Man game.

Now, there’s Paper Pong, a Choose Your Own Adventure style game that makes you choose a new page to move your paddle up and down.

If you thought Pong was boring before…

…It’s Movie Monday: Take Me Back?

Take Me Back

Take Me Back is an original web series about Al.

There’s not much to say about Al, except that his life is pretty boring. He goes to work, listens to talk radio, then comes home and listens to talk radio. He’s a compulsive note taker, constantly logging in the minutiae of his life in a little brown book. Also, he possesses the uncanny ability to fix just about anything that’s broken.

Then one day, Al’s life turns upside down when he’s kidnapped by a masked vigilante after an unusual day in his otherwise mundane life.

New chapters debut each and every Monday, and if web is going to become the future of entertainment, I think this is a good start.

Would you watch a TV series this way?

…Travis Pastrana rocked the hydrojump?

Travis Pastrana Hydrojump

Apparently, when you’re Travis Pastrana, conquering regular sports just gets boring after a while, and you need to invent new and unique sports to conquer just to keep yourself busy.

Travis’ latest stunt, called the hydrojump, had him skimming his Suzuki dirtbike at 70 miles per hour for 110 feet in five-foot-deep water, and then launching off of a floating FMX ramp.

…Cars and People is fascinating?

Time-lapse photography can make anything exponentially more exciting, so it should come as no surprise that the seemingly boring subject of a parking lot takes on a life of its own when you can watch 24 hours flash by in just over a minute.

Called Cars and People, it was shot using a Canon Digital Rebel XT SLR camera with 15-second intervals between shots at the parking lot on Bay and Edward in Toronto.

…It’s Website Wednesday: Buzzword?

Buzzword

Buzzword is “the first real word processor for the web”.

Though this description sounds rather boring, the site itself is rather impressive.

Basically an online version of Word, it’s built in Flash, so there’s plenty of fancy features, and the online interface means you can use it on either a Mac or a PC.

Another advantage of online applications: No need to install. Traveling and in need of a word processor? No problem; Just fire up Buzzword and away you go.

Having your documents online also means it’s easy to share with friends, family and co-workers, co-editing and co-writing something through its path to perfection.

Lastly, it’s owned by Adobe, so there’s definitely no lack of support, and the chance that this winds up in the dead pool is slim to none.

It’s definitely worth a try, so click the link and see what’s buzzing.

…Running should be spiced up?

Running

Running is great for the body, but if you’re only doing it at one speed, then you’re missing out on not only a better workout, but a less boring one as well.

To combat this problem, Zen Habits has put together 10 Great Workouts To Spice Up Your Running Program. They’ll keep things interesting, make you run faster and stronger, help you run longer, and stop your body from adapting, which all sound good to me.
