…Bowser’s minions are not happy?

Bowser\'s Minions

Any Super Mario fan will definitely appreciate the humor in Bowser’s Minions.

For me, the sounds and the long lost characters brought back flashbacks of childhood gaming, and I loved the idea of Mario’s enemies grouping together and revolting against the restrictions placed upon them by Bowser/Nintendo to keep the game playable.

Definitely another CollegeHumor classic.

…DYH is in Chicago?

Chicago

I’m going on a work related trip to Chicago today, so DYH is going to be light on the updates, but in place of my normal posts, I’ve added tons of cool/great/awesome/semi-lame links from my “write about this one day” pile to the DidntYouHear.com Facebook Page.

If you haven’t already, be sure to become a fan of the page, since I’m going to try to use it more often as a place to put all of the interesting links that I find that I just don’t have time to write a full post about.

See you there!

…Mimoco drives are getting bigger?

Mimoco

If you’re a flash drive fan, but Mimoco’s size limitation has prevented you from picking up one of their fantastic Mimobots, then get excited, because Mimoco has just announced the availability of their new line of 8GB drives.

Each Mimobot design currently available will now be offered in this new, larger size (up from a previous best of 4GB) and still carries the same great Mimoco content, just in a new, larger package with more room for your stuff.

…Gizmodo and Engadget are not friends?

Engadget And Gizmodo

Wired Magazine’s article about the rivalry between Gizmodo and Engadget is a fascinating look at the two kings of tech blogging.

If you’re a fan of either site, then it’s a must read for a look behind the scenes at what makes them tick.

…It’s TGI Friday: I Heart T-Shirts?

I Heart T-Shirts

Want to win a free t-shirt? Then read on:

If you read DYH with any kind of regularity, then you’ve probably noticed that I’m a huge t-shirt fanatic. I own and wear far too many of them, but I can never get enough. I’m always on the lookout for new and unique shirts, and often when I find them, I post about them here.

However, I’ve wanted to start a separate t-shirt blog for quite some time now, so I’ve decided to do a little experiment to see if I can use Facebook to do it.

Thus, I’ve started a page on Facebook called “I Heart T-Shirts”, and I’m going to use it as a sort of mini-blog, posting about the latest t-shirt designs that I find and fall in love with.

If you’ve got a Facebook account, head on over to the page and check it out.

There, I’ve gathered up links to some of my favorite t-shirt stores, blogs and coupon codes, and I’m also going to be using the “Posted Items” area as a mini blog where I’ll share links to some of the newest and coolest designs out there.

To get this up and running though, it would be great to have people become fans of the page, which is why I’m going to be doing a giveaway on Sunday, May 11 to one random (and lucky) fan.

To enter, just go to the I Heart T-Shirts page and click “Become A Fan”. Then, on Sunday, I’ll select one fan at random from those that have signed up and I’ll send them a $25 Threadless Gift Certificate.

Since this is an experiment, I encourage you to contact me with any comments , questions or suggestions that you have about the page. Feel free to either email me here, or send me a message through the Facebook system.

Also, since Facebook is a community-based site after all, feel free to share photos, and videos of you and your favorite t-shirt designs on the page. Plus, if you can tell any of your t-shirt loving friends about the page, I would greatly appreciate it.

(Lastly, if you haven’t already, check out the DidntYouHear.com Page on Facebook!)

See you there!

…The Facebook Page is growing?

Facebook

Last week I announced the launch of the DidntYouHear.com Facebook Page, and since then, 25 people have already signed up to be fans, which is fantastic, so a big thanks to everyone who joined!

I also announced that I would be picking out one fan at random and giving them a $10 Amazon Gift Card, so thanks to the magic of Excel’s =rand() function, Alice Chang has been selected. Congratulations!

If you haven’t already done so, then check out the Facebook Page and click “Become a Fan”. I’ll be doing exclusive content and contests there just for the Facebook Fans, as well as adding games and more to interact with on the page, so it should be fun.

See you there!

…Grand Theft Auto is special?

Grand Theft Auto

Usually around the third or fourth iteration of a popular game, the designers decide that there are enough fans to warrant a special collector’s edition.

Though collector’s editions usually filled with a bunch of stuff that no one needs, they’re gobbled up by hard-core fans that want to raise their 1337 level by a few points at the next gaming get-together.

Apparently Grand Theft Auto has reached that point, because with the release of GTAIV coming up, they’ve announced a pre-orderable special edition that comes with a metal safety deposit box, special packaging, an art book with never-before-seen production artwork, a soundtrack CD filled with exclusive material, a Rockstar keychain, and a duffel bag to hold it all. Plus, order through Amazon, and you’ll even get a Liberty City license plate to round out the collection!

Chewing Gum

Chewing gum fans rejoice!

New York Magazine has teamed up with WD-50 to chew through 132 different kinds of gum to determine which bubblegum, fruit and mint flavored gum is the best, based on mouthfeel, bulk, flavor intensity, and “the general pleasure of the squish-squish sensation going on between our teeth”.
