Any Super Mario fan will definitely appreciate the humor in Bowser’s Minions.
For me, the sounds and the long lost characters brought back flashbacks of childhood gaming, and I loved the idea of Mario’s enemies grouping together and revolting against the restrictions placed upon them by Bowser/Nintendo to keep the game playable.
Though Server Quest is a bit on the tech heavy side, it’s still a great game that brings back fond memories of the early ‘90s gaming era.
Created to promote Microsoft’s TechNet, Server Quest puts you in charge of Matt Berg, an IT Guy in search of the IT Girl of his dreams.
When he finds her (Alicia Thornber) he must woo her with his vast amount of IT knowledge.
Mini-games include Packet Invaders and Office Chaos, and there’s a full serving of IT humor, so it’s a great diversion for actual IT guys, though it may be over the heads of anyone who doesn’t have a degree in computer science.
Ed Janssen is This Charming Man, and creates jewelry pieces that “tend to be quite iconic, reflecting the everyday through a lens of humor that gives his pieces personalities of their own.”
His “knuckle sandwich” necklace is definitely his most popular piece, and for good reason, as the brass knuckles between two pieces of bread has taken on a cult status for its good looks and subtle charm.

“The winning entry will have incredible visual impact and exhibit fantastic creativity and technical skill, perhaps also with a twist of humor. Amaze us or make us laugh – or both. It’s up to you and your skills, creativity and imagination, but whatever you do, don’t miss out on the action!”
Here’s a cute little Easter Egg from the Apple guys that managed to retain their sense of humor: Go to the Store and type ‘Virus’ into the search box; You’ll be treated to a quick dig on Windows’ ability to get sick from time to time.
FoxTrot has always been my favorite comic. It was a perfect mix of humor, tech geekiness and everyday family comedy that made you relate to the Fox family like no other comic family. Unfortunately, Bill Amend, the strip’s artist, recently announced that “After spending close to half of my life writing and drawing FoxTrot cartoons, I think it’s time I got out of the house and tried some new things”. These new things mean that the comic will now be published on a new on Sundays only basis. Sadly, this isn’t a hiatus that can be fixed with a show of support ala Family Guy, so I can only hope Bill the best in his future endeavors, and thank him for the constant supply of comedy. FoxTrot, you will be missed.
