…Mini wants to teach you Power Slide Parking?

Power Slide Parking

Mini’s Power Slide Parking is a surprisingly fun advergame.

The goal is to slide your Mini Racer into a spot (between a street conspicuously full of Minis) after dodging and jumping your way through obstacles that are trying to cramp your style.

Can you show the guys what you’re made of?

…Mini will teach you how to drive like a pro?

Mini Driving Lesson

Take it from Mini: Despite what your driver’s ed teacher taught you, 9 and 3 always beats 10 and 2.

In order to help new Mini drivers get the most from the car, and to show off the racability of their line, Mini has put together a pretty thorough collection of introductory pro driving tips on their Mini Racing site.

All the basics are covered, like proper seat position and correct shifting technique, but they even show you some advanced techniques like heel-toe breaking and the proper cornering line.

It might not make you F1 worthy, but unless you’re already driving an F1 car, it’ll probably give you a few tips and tricks that will improve your car skills dramatically.

…It’s Tuner Tuesday: Pioneer MiniCamino?

MiniCamino

If you’re trying to get people to pay attention to your car, nothing does it quite like chopping the back half off of a Mini and turning it into a MiniCamino.

This Pioneer show car features an MS Design widebody kit in two-tone chocolate and white, a custom convertible kit, Recaros, a surfboard rack, an iPod dock, and enough Pioneer electronics to blow your neighbor’s ears out.

…The Mac Mini Pro has been made?

Mac Mini Pro

Apple doesn’t make one, so what do you do if you want a mini Mac tower?

Make one yourself.

Seen above are the results of one talented modder’s mission to create a tower out of Mac parts that kept with the general styling of Macputers.

The Mac Mini Pro is built around a Mac Mini, and features an aluminum case that is modeled after the Mac Pro, an additional USB port and power button in the front, and a slide-off side cover that exposes the hard drive for easy swaps.

…It’s Tuner Tuesday: Kimini 2.2?

Kimini

The Kimini 2.2 is a “from-scratch, home-built, carbon shelled, mid-engined (Honda Prelude VTEC 4-cylinder) Mini.

After 3,000 hours of labor and $20K in components and material, I’d say the end result speaks for itself.

…Mini makes custom billboards?

Mini Billboard

Mini is known for being small, but their advertising definitely goes big. Their latest creation is Motorby, a program where interactive billboards will welcome select Mini owners with a personalized greeting. Users of the Motorby program submit information about themselves to Mini, and receive a special key fob in return. Then, when they drive under specially equipped billboards in Chicago, New York, Miami and San Francisco, a message lights up saying things like “Nice Hair Harrold!” or “New Shoes Suze?”. The program ought to be fun until someone hits a pole trying to take a picture of their personalized message or someone hacks it to say something a little less family oriented. Given the choice though, I’d gladly take one that put up the words “Get Off Your Damn Cell Phone” every time I drove by.
