…It’s Things Thursday: corbusBOARDS?

corbusBOARDS

Those looking for a custom way to ride down the street should definitely check out corbusBOARDS.

Handcrafted and one-of-a-kind, the corbusBOARDS are made of aluminum, and are designed to be “fully functional, impressive to ride art objects”.

From the maker:

Knowing that the classic wood structure was limited I turned to aluminum streamlining the design until I came up with sleek silhouettes at around the same weight of traditional long-boards — and just as ride-able. These custom boards are a completely original cross between a long-board and a short-board for a smooth cruising ride that is also focused on independent vision and comfort. These are not trick boards, but they are tricked.

…It’s Things Thursday: Hotwicks?

Hotwicks

If mountain breezes, lilac mornings, and heavenly honeysuckle aren’t exactly your preferred scents when it comes to candles, then perhaps you should check out Hotwicks, a company that wants to make “one of a kind candles that remind you of cool things”.

What types of cool things?

Try Beer, Campfires, Dryer Sheets, Hippies, Pancakes , Urinal Cakes, Strippers, Pigskin and more.

In addition to these scents, you can also combine scents for a whole theme of aroma.

Take beer for example:

BEER + STRIPPER + COFFEE = BACHELOR PARTY
BEER + GRASS + CAMPFIRE = CAMPING TRIP
    BEER + GRASS + PIGSKIN = GAMEDAY
BEER + CAMPFIRE + HIPPIE = DRUM CIRCLE

Does it get any better than that?

…It’s Tuner Tuesday: Lotec C1000?

Lotec C1000

Never heard of the Lotec C1000?

That’s because you’re not an oil baron from the UAE.

This one of a kind supercar was commissioned by one back in 1995, and originally sold for about $3.4M (with an M). At the time, and even today, it was one of the fastest cars in the world, with a reported top speed of 268 MPH.

The rest of the specs are no less impressive, as this custom cruiser would get you to 60 in just 3.2 seconds, and 125 in just 8.1 if the mood was right.

Ho did it pull off such amazing feats of physics?

A 5.6-liter Mercedes V8 was force fed by twin turbochargers through a five speed manual, with the end result being 1000 HP and 723 lb-ft of torque in a car that weighed just 2380 lbs. thanks to the liberal use of carbon fiber.

…It’s Tuner Tuesday: Top Tune Solstice?

Top Tuner Solstice

With a name like the Top Tuner Solstice, how can this not be featured on Tuner Tuesday?

Answer: It can’t.

This Top Tuner Solstice is the end result of five of the best tuners in the industry, a blank canvas, and a blank check.

With an estimated street value of $500,000, you know that no expense was spared on this green and red goblin.

Top Tuner Solstice Details

Desired Customs’ Keith Losier handled the entertainment system, decking it out in Pioneer goodness, Seam Line’s Vito Lanniciello handled the suede red interior, Rowetech Automotive’s Simon Rowe installed the 500 hp, 2.0L, twin charged (it has both a turbocharger and a supercharger installed) crate engine, Phat Custom Rides’ Chris Nankoo created a one-of-a-kind custom body kit, and Henry’s Auto Body’s Serge Leger applied the Vivacious Candy Green paint that sets this Solstice apart.

Though it’s mostly for show and probably won’t go, it’s good to see what a half mil. will buy you if you’re stuck with a Solstice.
