…Jones Soda is taking their drinks to the polls?

Campaign Cola

Can’t decide who to vote for?

Let the sodas decide!

Jones Soda’s Campaign Cola 2008 is “the one and only website where you can vote for your candidate by purchasing their bottle of cola, regardless of age or residency”.

Flavors include Barack’s Yes We Can Cola, McCain’s Pure McCain Cola, and Hillary’s Capitol Hillary Cola (though now it’s probably more appropriately named Congratulatory Cola).

Every bottle counts, so make sure to drink up to your favorite candidate, and let your opinion be refreshing.

…Canouflage makes it easy to get drunk in public?

CanouflageCanouflage is probably one of the best (and funniest) ideas I’ve ever seen: Simply wrap your beer in a vinyl cover that looks like a popular soda brand, and then chug away at what appears to be a harmless 12 ouncer to the outside world.

Available “flavors” include Skunkpiss, Risk, Peski, and Mountain Spew, and they come in packs of four that are also reusable in case the thirty pack that you bought is going to need some extra hiding.

…It’s Things Thursday: Jones Soda Holiday Packs?

Jones Soda Holiday Packs

Jones Soda is known for the Turkey and Gravy flavored soda that they put out each year around the holidays, but this year, they’re doing things a bit different, and are introducing a Christmas Pack and a Chanukah Pack to satisfy your strange soda needs.

The Christmas Pack contains Christmas Ham, Christmas Tree, Egg Nog, and Sugar Plum flavored sodas, while the Chanukah Pack contains Latke, Apple Sauce, Chocolate Coins, and Jelly Doughnut flavored sodas.

They might not be the most appetizing sounding sodas, but you’ve got to try everything once, right?

…Soda flavored candies look tasty?

Brach’s Soda Poppers

If you’ve been looking for a new way to get your soda fix, then check out Brach’s Soda Poppers.

Featuring four officially licensed flavors (A&W Root Beer, Dr. Pepper, Crush, and 7-Up) they have a hard candy outside and a “firm goo center”.

Now if only they’d find a way to fill these with caffeine…

…It’s TGI Friday: Beer?

Imperial Russian Stout Pipeline Porter

Free Stuff Friday is back, and this time, I’m giving away a $10 iTunes gift card to one lucky winner (which is coincidentally just enough to buy the DYH iMix 04.07 if you so choose). To enter, just add a comment to this post with the name of your favorite beer. Not only will this earn you an entry into the contest, it will also add $.50 to the Comment Charity total as a way of saying thanks for your time.

Don’t drink beer? No problem; just comment with the name of your favorite beer alternative (soda, coffee, water, wine, etc.) and you’ll also be entered.

Though my all-time favorite would have to be Stone’s Imperial Russian Stout, I’m currently digging the wonderful Pipeline Porter that Kona recently released.

As usual, the contest will run through Sunday, so you have plenty of time to pick a favorite (or make one up if you don’t already have one) and type it into the comment box.

A few minutes of your time in exchange for a chance at a few free songs? Sounds like a good deal to me. Cheers.

…Java is a good soda flavor?

JavaPop

JavaPop is the nation’s first organic and fair trade certified coffee soda; a carbonated, non-dairy based, 100% natural coffee drink that’s “made from ingredients you can pronounce”. Though I’m skeptical about the taste of a coffee flavored soda, it sounds like it’s made of some good stuff, so I’d be interested to try it. Plus, they use recycled materials in all of their packaging, so you don’t have to worry about your drink downing the environment. How refreshing.

…The Beer Caddy is your own mini kegerator?

Beer Caddy

The Beer Caddy from Neiman Marcus is designed to keep a 5-liter beer or soda keg cool so you can pour a perfect pint from anywhere, though hopefully you only use the included car power adapter while in park. Plus, it looks good with its stainless steel body.

…The 2006 Jones Soda Holiday Packs have arrived?

Holiday Pack Banner

Holiday Pack

Turkey and Gravy might not be a typical flavor you think of when you think of soda, but for Jones Soda Co., it’s a staple. Part of their 2006 Limited Edition Holiday Pack, Turkey and Gravy can also be enjoyed with their Sweet Potato, Dinner Roll, Pea, and Antacid Flavored Sodas for the complete meal experience. After you’re done with the main course though, don’t forget to have desert. In this case, it’s the 2006 Limited Edition Desert Pack, including Cherry Pie, Banana Cream Pie, Key Lime Pie, Apple Pie, and Blueberry Pie. These may sound disgusting (and I’m sure some of them probably are), but when else are you going to be able to try a dinner roll flavored soda? Plus, part of the proceeds benefits St. Jude’s Children’s Research Center and Toys for Tots, so you’ll be helping out a good cause while sip on your banana cream pie. Also, all sodas are completely vegetarian, certified kosher, and contain zero caffeine, calories, or carbs. Sounds like a win-win situation all around, so drink up.

…Sodas don’t have to fizz away?

Fizz-Keeper

The Fizz-Keeper by Pump & Pour is a nifty little way of keeping those just-opened bottles of soda from going flat before you even have a chance to enjoy them. Simply replace the cap on the bottle with the Fizz-Keeper, give it a few squeezes when you’re temporarily finished, and you’re guaranteed to have fresh, fizzy soda the next time you pour. They even make a Pump & Pour for cans, so you can keep your personal sized sugar syrup ready at all times. Savorers rejoice, your fizz protection is here.
