For Halloween, Mimoco is releasing a special “ultra-limited” edition of rayD8gig, an inverse color variant of the immensely popular MIMOBOT Core Series 2 character, rayD8.
Only 200 will be made, and they’re only available in the 8GB flavor, so if you want one of these glow-in-the-dark memory sticks for your own collection, then you better hurry, because they’re going fast.
Though I couldn’t find much in the way of official information, it doesn’t take a press release to know that these shoes are special.
Called the Nike Mercurial Vapor SL, they are made of nearly 100% carbon fiber, and weigh just 6.7 ounces.
It took Nike three years to design and produce the shoe, and features include an outsole plate made from seven layers of carbon composite material interwoven with TPU and polyurethane, a molded carbon fiber upper, and an internal carbon fiber chassis for “instant acceleration”.
Plus, if Cristiano Ronaldo approves them, then who are you to say otherwise?
The latest car to go under their knife is the Ferrari Enzo, and despite the fact that many Ferrari purists would argue that the Enzo is perfection embodied, Edo would disagree.
Changes include a new ram-air intake system, high-flow air filters, FXX style headers, high-flowing cats, a new exhaust system with remote-controlled butterfly valves to adjust sound levels on the fly, and a modified ECU that helps power levels reach 700 hp and 527 lb.-ft. of torque.
That power is then moved through a retuned transmission that replicates the shift times of the FXX bretherin, and then out through the 19 and 20 inch blacked out rims that are an Edo special.
Suspension has also seen some improvements, with compression and rebound that have been adjusted to match the FIA GT MC12.
According to Edo, 62 mph is now dispatched in just 3.5 seconds, and the car will reach 186 mph in just 22 seconds.
I guess even perfection has some room for improvement!
In honor of the impending graduation time, Mimoco is having a Mimobot Graduation Sale.
The collection of special sale characters include “some of our popular Halo Series MIMOBOT drives, Core Series 2, Artist Series and Happy Tree Friends”.
Each of the special sale characters is 25% off, and if you buy $100 or more worth of products, you’ll also receive a $10 gift certificate. Plus, for each $50 you spend beyond that, they’ll send you another $10 gift certificate.
The sale runs through 6/3, so head on over and make sure you order yours now before they’re all gone.
If you happened to have missed the Night Rider TV Special (though judging by the ratings, you didn’t miss much), Hulu is serving up the entire movie online for the low, low price of free:
Hip-Hop artists have an unnatural obsession with unnecessarily large chains, which is why it takes a special someone to make it into a list of Hip-Hop’s Most Ridiculous Chains. To make it onto the list, you have to be willing to take a few risks, and wearing enough cash to buy a house around your neck is just the beginning.
Platinum, gold and diamonds are all part of the chain arsenal, and the bigger the better, so click the link to see if your favorite lyricist has what it takes.
Conquer the slopes in style with Venom’s Switchboard, a new way to play in the powder.
The Switchboard is a cross between a snowboard, a skateboard, a scooter, and skis, and features a double hinge in the middle for steering, foot straps to lock you in place without the need for special boots, and a shock absorbed steering bar to help you turn the slopes into your own personal board park.
deviantART is launching deviantART Film, but they want to make it very clear that this is not YouTube 2.0.
While YouTube is like a weekend movie, filled with entertainment but ultimately devoid of quality content, deviantART Film is like a film festival; an event that you know is going to be something special.
To begin with, all of their films are hand picked. No webcam rants and raves here; these are feature films that took time and effort to create.
Second, viewers can comment on specific frames of a film. Not sure what the artist was trying to portray? Instead of leaving a generic comment at the end, you can instead mark the part of the film that threw you off, and leave a comment specific to that segment.
Lastly, deviantART Films are available in DivX and h.264 formats in addition to the standard Flash, giving you higher quality and larger sized viewing options.
Considering the art that the deviants have created, I can’t wait to see what they put on Film.
…deviantART now shows Films?
