Proving that your sneaks can be cool for more than just their design, these Adidas Consortium Superstar Wars shoes come in the same packaging as the Star Wars figures that probably lined the walls of your nerdy past.
Though most will probably stay in the packaging as part of a shoe collectors’ collection, it’s good to know that companies are still putting thought into details as small as the packaging of their products.
Mimoco just announced the preorder for the second series of their Star Wars set, including the lovely Princess Leia, the roguish Han “Nerfherder” Solo, the prodigal son of a Sith Luke Skywalker, and the mysterious bounty hunter Boba Fett.
These new Mimobots feature Helmet Caps, which means you can remove Luke’s X-Wing pilot helmet and Boba Fett’s Mandalorian battle helmet to reveal their faces beneath.
If that’s not enough, they’ve also got Mop Top and Headphones caps so that Hans and Leia can rock their hairstyles with ease.
As of now, they’re scheduled for a January/February ’08 release date, so order now so that you don’t miss out.
Here’s an interesting T-Shirt design from a company called Teeelicious: Called Farewell To Arms, it features all of the limbs that were lost during the Star Wars saga.
If you keep trying to use the force, then this shirt is for you.
Joshua Budich’s Star Wars Collection is a work of art.
Each figure has its own GIF image, and each GIF image links to a corresponding picture of the actual figure, as well as a full rundown of the specific series.
If looking at every figure is too much to handle, then you can sort by series, assortment, movie and year.
Why the madness?
Being a “collector” defines who I am, and the process has been a memorable one not just for me, but also for my loved ones.”
The battle between Apple and the unlockers rages on, with Apple launching the latest blow in the form of a firmware upgrade that bricks all unlocked iPhones. (Forever.)
For a timeline of the iPhone unlock done up in Star Wars style, check out Gizmodo for a very thorough rundown of what’s happened so far.
‘Tune in next week for the latest episode of…Unlock Wars’
Star Wars king George Lucas was lucky enough to get his hands on a Mosler MT 900, serial number 003, the first road-going street-legal supercar to be delivered by the Mosler company. The MT 900 will do 0-60 in 3.1 seconds thanks to a mid mounted LS6 putting out 435 hp. Lucas customized his rocket with a spoiler delete and slick Vader black paint scheme. Cool car George Lucas has.
Mimoco’s Mimobots are artist designed USB flash drives, created to bring a little style to the normally bland world of data storage. Their latest series is the Star Wars Series 1, and I must say these are pretty stylish little devices. Standing at just 2 3/8 inches tall, each character is available with 1, 2 or 4GB of capacity, and each contains exclusive Star Wars content. Mimobots are made in limited edition runs, and only 2,500 of the Star Wars Series will make it into the hands of collectors. You can also order a Protohoodie Keychain Accessory for your Mimobot, good for both protection and warmth (because everyone knows, flash drives hate the cold). Though regular Mimobots make great gifts for the holidays, Star Wars Mimobots are going to have to wait, as you can only preorder them now for their 2007 release. If you’re a Star Wars fan, or know someone who is, then there’s no better way to show your dedication than by storing your Star Wars Figurine Collection Data Excel spreadsheet on a Chewbacca styled flash drive. None.
My dog never seems too disappointed that she can’t dress up and join me in any Halloween festivities, but if you get that puppy face from your best friend when you put on your pillowcase ghost costume this year, let them join in the fun (and geek out a little bit) with the Star Wars Pet Costumes. Officially licensed by Star Wars (those trilogy remake DVDs must not be selling as quickly as they would have hoped), they’re available in sizes: Small, Medium, Large and X-Large so that every dog from P Hilton’s to your great dane can fit in one. Regardless of how cute these might look though, something about a dog’s head with a human looking body, arms and legs just strikes me as a little bit odd, but I guess it’s a case of to each his own.
