You’ve defended your desktop, but now it’s time to wage whiteboard warfare with Whiteboard Tower Defense.
Like other tower defense games, you build and upgrade towers to kill critters. It seems simple, but there’s a definite strategy involved with where you put your towers, when and where you upgrade, and how you spend your money.
Can you keep the whiteboard safe?

MEET IN ver.0 is a short and ‘cute’ game that puts you in charge of four separate people on four separate parts of the screen.
The goal is for them to all meet in one area, but you’ll need to solve a few puzzles first to get them there.
It’s an interesting idea that definitely has some possibility for the future, when the creator “may upgrade it with more gimmicks”.

Last night I took the plunge and upgraded to WordPress 2.5, and so far, everything has been working as expected.
The install took about 5 minutes (not accounting for the back-up time) and went without a hitch. All of my plug-ins seem to be chugging along fine, and I haven’t noticed any drastic changes to the front of the scenes look of the site.
Behind the scenes is where most of WP 2.5’s changes occurred though, so I guess that’s to be expected. The whole interface was revamped, and changes include:
- Multi-file uploading
- One-click plugin upgrades
- Built-in galleries
- Customizable dashboard
- Salted passwords and cookie encryption
- Media library
- A WYSIWYG that doesn’t mess with your code
- Concurrent post editing protection
- Full-screen writing
- Search that covers posts and pages
Let me know if you see anything go wonky in the next few days, but if you’re looking to make the switch/upgrade to WordPress 2.5, I give it two thumbs up.

Have you ever heard of mileage running?
The goal is to fly for the sake of flying so that you can earn enough airline miles to receive perks from the frequent flier program.
To do mileage running, you only need two things: a lot of time, and cheap tickets (one to two cents per mile cheap).
Then, you simply rack up the miles, going through the ticket and routing calculations, through elite status, upgrades, irregular operations, weather delays, working the system, bumping and marathon flying; all for the sake of a few extra miles.
Ready to work the system?
Then check out Gadling’s Guide to Mileage Running, and learn from the best.

Mary Carey recently got an upgrade, so she’s decided to autograph and auction off her former pair to help raise money for “Susan G. Komen for the Cure”.
I guess that’s one way to recycle…

Invasion Tactical Defense is an impressively complex Flash game where your goal is to protect a nuclear factory from an attacking alien race.
To play, you buy cannons, upgrade the factory, and deploy personnel.
Sounds simple, right?
Well, it’s not.
Thankfully, the game’s designers have added in plenty of settings to tweak and tune as you try to find the right mix, and even then it’s not an easy win, so give it a shot and see what you can do.
The world depends on it.
Caution: The site requires you to register to play, so be prepared to create an account.

The date has finally been finalized; On Friday, October 26, 2007, Apple will release Leopard, its latest operating system, to hoards of screaming Apple fanboys.
Ok, so it might not be that dramatic, but considering how long it’s been since their last release, a new OS is kind of a big deal. Plus, as Vista continues to flounder, it’s time once again for Apple to one up the ‘Soft boys.
Looking to get in on the action? Amazon has a pre-order deal going on right now, and you can save $20 if you’re willing to wait a few days for shipping.
Check out Apple’s site for a list of the over 300 new features that Leopard is bringing, and prepare to be upgraded.
