…Wolverine claws are perfect for temporary itch relief?

Wolverine Claws

If you’ve run out of things to pierce, head down to Sao Paulo, Brazil and get hooked up with a set of Wolverine claws. Though impractical for things like a rock paper scissors tournament or anything involving toilet paper, these temporary piercings will definitely impress your friends the next time they’ve got an itch on their back in that spot they just can’t quite seem to scratch.

…$10,000 cigarettes kill you just as fast as $5 ones?

Expensive Cigarette Pack

Looking like a friend of Bender’s from Futurama, Bat International has created a $10,000 pack of cigarettes. The 18-carat white gold pack is studded with a single large diamond and an equally large ruby. The cigs inside are just plain old Lucky Strikes, and they’re still going to kill you just as fast, as shown by the giant “Smoking kills” sticker on the outside (apparently no amount of money can bypass that sticker). Sold exclusively at limited European airports, the packs are intended to boost the iconic design profile of one of BAT’s leading cigarette brands. If lighting $100 bills on fire doesn’t seem to show of your wealth like it used to, try lighting up one of these, and blow your money away almost as fast, but with a bit more class.

…MC Escher’s art makes great Photoshop source material?

MC Escher

MC Escher had a unique vision of the world, and shared that vision through his art. Everything he created was creating itself or blending in and out of its surroundings. At, artists were given a chance to put their own spin on Escher’s work with a Photoshop contest to see who could remix his most famous works in the most creative way. My personal favorite is the hand drawing the hand holding the reflective ball. There are some pretty unique re-dos entered, so check them out for a modern take on a classic artist.

…One million is a hard number to comprehend?

In an effort to aid people in understanding what one million actually looks like, the Jewish Community Center has gathered up 1,000,000 pennies and is displaying them inside of a clear Lucite case about the size of a refrigerator. The $10,000 weighs in at over 6000 pounds, but the real importance of the project is the scale of the devastation caused by the holocaust. Over six million Jewish people were killed, a number that is hard for many to comprehend. This project serves as a stunning visual display of the true devastation caused during a horrible period in history.

…You can do more with your bus ticket?

Bus Ticket

An artist named REZ has created a pretty unique form of what could be defined as graffiti. He placed stickers on the back of Liverpool bus seats with visual diagram style instructions for folding the patron’s bus ticket into a small french fries holder that will actually hold liquids. He says the project is about “daily rituals and interacting with the viewer, with the intention leaving a smile on their faces by giving them something to do while they commute to work or study on the bus”. A very cool idea, this definitely beats fiddling with your ticket until it turns into sweaty confetti.
