…Guy Kawasaki responded to Truemors?

Guy Kawasaki, Apple evangelist, start-up supporter, and Signal Without Noise world changer, has created Truemors, a web site that “enables you to ‘tell the world’ within the bounds of good taste and the law”.

Users post rumors, news, and sightings, and anyone with web access can read and rate them within minutes.

Inspired by Twitter, BoredAt, Digg, PostSecret, PopSugar, and HotOrNot, Truemors wants to become the place to go for the latest truessip.

One interesting aspect of the service is that there are four different ways to enter information.

Unfortunately (or so it seemed), truemor has it that the site launched to less than stellar reviews. Though anticipation was high, many users were disappointed with the results, and demanded more. Pronet Advertising’s Muhammad Saleem dissected the site, and offered suggestions along with his guide/review.

Interestingly enough, Guy responded, fired back at the detractors, and justified his decisions.

Truemorist or not, you’ve got to give him credit for trying, and it will be interesting to see what becomes of the site. Tell the world.
