Fan of bacon? Then check out this salt-cured ham from Spain. Called the 2006 Alba Quercus Reserve, it’s the creation of Manuel Maldonado, who feeds his pigs a top-quality diet of acorns, and lets them roam free-range style, before slaughtering them and then curing them for two years (twice as long as any other meat man).
So what does it cost for a little piece of your own pig nirvana?
$2,100… Per leg!
He’s only making 80-100 legs though, so if you want a piece of this ‘World’s Most Expensive Ham’, you better act quick, because they’re going fast (the meat, not the legless pigs).
