…It’s TGI Friday: Music Catch?

Music Catch

Music Catch is an interesting game that takes the music visualization concept and lets you play with the results.

Different colored shapes are worth different amounts of points, and the goal is to catch as many yellow shapes as possible without touching the red shapes as they appear in time with the music (the purple shapes count as bonuses if you can catch those as well).

It’s definitely not a complicated game, but the music makes it almost like a meditation, so it’s a nice time waster if you’re looking for a few minutes of break. (Plus it kind of makes you feel like you’re getting to play around in the Bellagio lake!)

…Meters have changed?

Though we usually assume that distances are fixed (a mile is a mile is a mile) the official definition of a meter has changed numerous times through out history.

Each time, the definition of a meter became more precise, but it also changed slightly from the previous definition, allowing for less and less of the variation inherent in each measuring system.

Bonus: The only three countries not currently using the metric system: Liberia, Myanmar, and the United States.

…Euroball is an awesome table game?

Euroball is simple: The aim of the game is to score as many goals as possible before 90 seconds of time runs out.

The rules are as follows:

  • A player can only shove the coin furthest from the goal.
  • Apart from at kick-off, the shoved coin must pass between the other 2 coins.
  • All coins must stay on the table.
  • A player cannot shoot until 2 of their coins are in the opposition’s half.
  • For a goal to count, the coin must fully pass in between the tips of the goalie’s fingers.
  • There is no limit to the number of bonuses a player can get during a game.
  • The referee’s decision is final.

Point scoring is as follows:

  • You score a goal when you score a goal.
  • Your opponent scores a goal every time you knock a coin off the table.
  • Your goal difference is your score minus your opponent’s score. Your final point score is worked out as follows: (Goal Difference * 1000)+(Bonuses*100)-(Passes*50)

As soon as I played this game, I was in love, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
