…MythBusters are now painters?

Mona Lisa

To help demonstrate the difference between a GPU and a CPU for Nvidia’s NVISION show, Adam and Jamie of MythBusters fame put together two paintball painting machines.

The first paints a smiley face in a somewhat laborious fashion, while the second one paints the Mona Lisa in a drastically different way:

…It’s Things Thursday: Paintball Panzer?

Paintball Panzer

No, that’s not a really large man in a tank.

Yes, that’s a really small tank with a man in it.

Called the Paintball Panzer, it’s made by Funtrak Limited, and features:

  • Genuine one-person tracked vehicle (That’s right, “Tank Tracks”)
  • Fully integrated “Fire-While-Driving” paintball/laser gun
  • Can be driven on UK roads
  • Choice of many authentic (and some frankly bizarre) colours
  • Additional custom mods available
  • 8 week lead time (Built to order)

If paintballing is your thing, then I guess you can find a way of justifying the $14,400.

…Paintball is more fun in tanks?

Citizens of Northhamptonshire, England were a little bored with regular paintball, and decided to kick it up a notch. They did so by converting retired military tanks into ultimate paint firing machines, which, for $139 you can drive around for two hours and shoot at your buddies in another tank to your heart’s content. Awesome.
